Customer Experience Management Leader Medallia names Gavin Selkirk as Vice President of APAC

Veteran IT leader will spearhead Medallia's rapid growth across the Asia-Pacific

SAN MATEO, Calif., May 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Medallia, Inc. (www.medallia.com), the global leader in experience management, today announced that IT industry expert, Gavin Selkirk, has been named the company's new Area Vice President and General Manager of Medallia's operations in the Asia-Pacific.

Following eight years as a Lieutenant in the Australian Navy, Selkirk has enjoyed the past 25 years in the IT industry helping multinational companies grow and expand in Asia and will lead Medallia's accelerated growth in a region known for high brand standards and experience.

With a diverse set of experiences ranging from being the first employee in Asia for a European-based software company, to operating at scale as CEO for ASEAN with systems integration company Fujitsu, Selkirk has traversed multiple market segments including complex analytics solutions with SAS, cloud-based solutions at BMC, to selling Salesforce.com solutions as a partner at Fujitsu. He was most recently President of Asia Pacific & Japan for BMC. Selkirk's hire will provide Medallia with rich industry knowledge to apply to its operation and go-to-market strategy and execution.
